Governor Dickson in his remark commended Chief Olabode Ibiyinka George, for his meritorious service to the party and the nation mentioning that the party is not comfortable about the recent events at the convention. The governor stated that the PDP needs the South West and the Committee had come to seek his guidance being a tested marina, as to how the party can chat a way forward.
Speaking, Ambassador Wali also commended Chief George for his maturity and leadership while making and apologised to the supporters of Chief Bode George onbehalf of the entire party, trusting that this reconciliatory effort will produce favourable fruits.
In response, Chief Olabode Ibiyinka George commended the Chairman of the post election Reconciliation committee and his team for their efforts. In his remark, ‘I have no qualms with Secondus and as a party man, you don’t destroy what you built’.
He assured all that at the end, with the likes of Dickson and his team on board, there is hope that the party will be able to put itself together with justice, equity and fairness as its pillars.
He prayed God to deliver the party and assured supporters that this was simply another experience in the party’s rebranding process.
